Mac Banana in Munster, KwaZulu-Natal caters for all ages.  Owners Vernon and Gloria Duggan purchased the 16 hectare property, once home to a 50 year old farmhouse, old outbuildings and sheds, in 2005. The pair have since done a superb job of turning it into a unique retail destination in the South Coast.

Here are 5 things that you should do at Mac Banana:

Try their banana pancakes at their cafe

Their world famous pancakes are worth the drive. Their signature cinnamon pancake with a serving of vanilla ice cream is big enough for two people to share. The cafe also serves delicious banana and strawberry milkshakes that every sweet lover should try.

Animal farm

The children will love this place. With a vast range of animals, travellers will have the chance to meet famous donkey pair named Ally and Eeyore and Abraham the sheep. Entrance to the animal farm is R20 or free with the purchase of any other activities. They also offer pony rides and a giant trampoline at an additional cost.

Butterfly dome tours

Visitors will be transported to a different world once they step inside the butterfly dome. The dome, located in the middle of the property, is one of the main attractions at Mac Banana. The tours start from R40.

If you and the family are keen for some adventure, why not try your hand at the activities on offer? Perfect for all ages, visitors can choose between an adventure course, zipline, paintball, venture golf and archery.

Lifestyle centre

After a day of adventure, travellers can choose to eat at any of the 4 restaurants on the property. Foodies can enjoy Portuguese cuisine, pizza, fish or indulge in some fudge.  Those who want to pick up a few fresh ingredients can visit the farm stall or the wine emporium.
