Sello Maake Ka-Ncube, whose film Farewell Ella Bella has received rave reviews, was in Durban this weekend with his co-star Jay Anstey.
The pair, hosted by Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, explored Moses Mabhida Stadium and had a township tour at KwaMashu.
In between taking selfies with fans, the former Scandal actor spoke to IOL Travel about one of his favourite part of KwaZulu-Natal.
“KwaZulu-Natal has many beautiful places. One of my favourite places is The Valley of a Thousand Hills, which is known for its unspoilt nature, wildlife and magnificent scenery. There is a poem by H.I.E Dhlomo that tells you the entire story of the Valley of The Valley of a Thousand Hills.
“KZN is my spiritual home. It is where my ancestors come from, and whenever I am here, it feels like a reconnection,” he said.
Ka-Ncube said he was looking forward to using the KZN Travel Guide on his next visit.
