We all want to know that we're getting good value for our money, especially in this economic climate. Here are some tips on how to find cheaper hotels in Canada. Luckily for you, these tips can be functional in any part of the world. 

1. Large hotel groups normally have affordable prices

Because of the fact that they have more than one hotel across the globe, you're likely to find that larger hotel groups have options for early bookings and other ways for travelers to save money on their future bookings. 2. Hotel price comparison sites are your friend 

We are blessed to live in the digital age where most things are available at the click of your mouse. This means that you have access to websites like Trivago or Tripadvisor, which can give you reviews of the hotel you'd like to visit, but they also fetch from they internet all the hotel specials that are available and based on the information you input into the site, you get tailored results. 

3. The part of the country you're visiting matters

Expert's suggest booking within the hotel's cancellation period because the rooms become available at lower rates. According to Cheryl Rosner, the CEO of Stayful, who spoke to the Business Insider, a hotel's cancellation falls anywhere between 24 to 48 hours in advance, at which point rooms become available at lower rates.

5. Become a member of the digital commuity 

Normally hotels have programmes where they ask clients that have stayed with them to sign up and become members of their digital communities. It may be annoying because at times it comes with long newsletters, but those are ideal to let you when you can get a real good deal, i.e. when the price at the hotel you've been eyeing drops.
