Emirates bagged the Platinum Award at the Africa’s Travel Indaba 2018 Stand Awards in the Transport category. The awards recognise outstanding submersive stand installations.

 The Emirates stand measuring 42sqm featured large format graphic panels displaying the over 155 destinations the airlines flies to, open meeting rooms as well as a private meeting room for as many as 5 people. A large overhead panel displayed an image of Emirates’ flagship carrier, the Airbus A380.

Emirates pulled all the stops at their stand this year.

 Emirates cabin crew was in attendance hosting guests perfectly recreating and matching Emirates world famous onboard hospitality. Both crew members, who belong to Durban recounted the experience as truly memorable and humbling.

 Fouad Caunhye, Regional Manager, Southern Africa, Emirates says, “We have been participating in the Indaba for over 5 years and it is a quality B2B platform for Emirates to engage with the trade as well as explore opportunities to partner and do business with stakeholders in the tourism sector.”

 Emirates has carried over a million passengers since it started operations from Durban and flies daily between Durban and Dubai and onward to over 155 destinations across 81 countries in six continents.
