Johannesburg - The reasons to celebrate keep coming for The Peech, Johannesburg’s - and now Africa’s best city boutique hotel. The international Boutique Hotel Awards 2014 were held at a festive event in London and amongst the many hotly contested international awards was the award for Best City Boutique Hotel in Africa – awarded to The Peech, the stylish boutique hotel based in the buzzing suburb of Melrose.

Owner James Peech is understandably thrilled to be acknowledged as the best urban escape on African soil and the award couldn’t come at a better time – just last week the Champagne corks were popping as his 16-roomed boutique hotel celebrated its 10th year in business!

“It’s a wonderful accolade to have and of course the timing is great. We’re thrilled to have been acknowledged for our dedication to a unique experience where service is everything”, says former ad whizz James, who turned his skills to hoteleering in 2004 and has yet to look back.
