Cape Town - Here’s what not to do when the air hostess is doing her safety demonstration before takeoff: call out “ooh sexy”.

One male Alaska Airlines passenger learnt this the hard way after making the comment while the air stewardess was demonstrating how to use a life jacket.

According to the Daily Mail, the incident, took place on an Alaska Airlines plane at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport.

Passenger Amber Nelson described the incident on Facebook. Nelson posted: “Today I had an experience that drove home so powerfully the way it feels to be a woman in the world today.

“Before take off from SeaTac the flight attendants ran through their safety rules as they always do. Not all of us were paying very close attention.

“But a man in the row behind me changed all that by calling out ‘ooh, sexy!’ in response to a female flight attendant demonstrating how to use the life vest.”

Following the incident, Alaskan Airlines asked the passenger to disembark from the plane. However, it has sparked debate on social media, with many asking if the actions of the airline was a step too far.
