Cape Town - The first South African Travel Blog Awards, hosted by Sun Internationalat The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, is delighted to announce the winners for the inaugural 2016 South African Travel Blog Awards.
The prestigious South African Travel Blog Awards are aimed at acknowledging the top travel and travel related lifestyle bloggers in South Africa.
The event included a morning workshop, a lunch of canapés and a networking cocktail party.
Furthermore, Stevie French, experienced TV presenter, actress and radio personality had the pleasure of being MC.
The esteemed panel of judges namely Desireé Haakonsen, Natalia Rosa, Deon Kitching and Veli Ngubane, each with their own experience in the travel and lifestyle industry, were tasked to score each blogger according to pre-selected judging criterion.
Each blog received a score out of ten for each relevant category.
Winners were chosen in eight categories and each winner walked away with great prizes thanks to the sponsors involved.

Newcomer of the year: Lydia Alfonso – Green Lydia blog
Best content: Matthew Sterne – Rhino Africa Blog

Best lifestyle: Megan Peta -Boring Cape Town Chick
