Cape Town - If you are going out to the world famous Hermanus Whale Festiva l, we would like to suggest you to take the little slower but much more scenic route out to Hermanus from Cape Town, which is 25km longer than driving the highway.

On this scenic route, you will be rewarded with perhaps one of the most scenic coastal roads in the world, and you might get to spot a whale before anyone else has on the day.

We recommend a stop at the popular 365 Restaurant in Pringle Bay as they do an excellent breakfast.

The other stops you can make along this route are:

Penguin colony in Betty's Bay at Stony Point (smaller than Boulders beach but not as crowded)

Harold Porter Botanical Garden in Betty's Bay (as spectacular as Kirstenbosch but smaller).
