Bushmans Kloof voted no. 1 resort in SA

Cape Town - Condé Nast Traveler US readers cast their votes in the 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards – and named Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat no. 1 in the ‘Top 12 Resorts in South Africa’ category, with the lodge also coming in at no. 3 on the ‘Top 100 Hotels & Resorts of the World’ list.

Sister properties The Oyster Box and The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa meanwhile successfully positioned themselves at no. 2 and no. 4 respectively in the ‘Top 25 Hotels in Africa’ category.

Readers of the prestigious American travel magazine rated Bushmans Kloof at an impressive 98.9 points, The Oyster Box at 92.3 points and The Twelve Apostles at 91.5 points (out of a total score of 100).

Condé Nast Traveler, founded in 1987, is renowned as one of the most trusted names in travel. The magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards, now in their 28th year, set the benchmark for luxury properties around the globe. 128 000 discerning American travellers took part in this year’s survey – the most in its history - submitting millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments to choose the world’s best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines and cruise lines.

Hotels and resorts were rated on Rooms, Service, Food, Location, Design and Activities. Because of the range and depth of the survey and responses, the Readers’ Choice Awards are a unique and trusted source of travel advice respected around the world.
