Avoid parking problems:
Let’s face it, parking is usually expensive and it can be a struggle to find a parking spot, especially at busy holiday spots, and if you flying, the last thing you want to do after a long flight is to drive back home. Instead, request a ride so you have one less thing to worry about. We also have dedicated Uber pick-up and drop-off points at the main airports which you can check ahead of time and choose the one closest to where you need to be.
Schedule your ride in advance:
Anxious about missing your flight or fetching your mom at the airport? You can schedule a ride up to 30 days in advance, so you can rest assured that all parts of the journey are sorted before you’ve even packed. Flight delays won’t throw off your plans either – you can reschedule a trip up to 15 minutes before its scheduled to start.
Budget, budget, budget:
The same way you know the price when booking a flight or hotel, know how much your ride will cost before you hit the road with Uber’s upfront fares. And just like flights and hotel fees increase during holiday periods due to demand, dynamic pricing happens when demand for rides is high and there are not enough drivers on the road - you will be notified from the moment you open the app and it will be included in the upfront fares.
Dynamic pricing encourages more drivers to get out on the road to serve you on the busiest night of the year. If you weigh up the convenience of getting an Uber, there really is no better investment.

Know your ride:
Always take the time to review the safety features available to you in the app. Check that license plate, vehicle colour, driver photo, and driver name all match what’s listed in the app. Don’t forget, rides can only be requested through the Uber app.
Make your connections easier:
Every great ride starts with the pickup, which is why we have added a way for you and drivers to chat right in the Uber app. To chat with your driver en route to collect you, go to the Uber feed and tap “contact” and then “chat.” You can also select up to five friends and family members to be a part of your Trusted Contacts on the app. Once they are selected, you can share trip details with them during every ride with a single tap.
Drinking? Then Uber: Driving under the influence affects everyone on the road and is 100% preventable. So if you’re going to be drinking, plan ahead and request a ride to ensure a safe ride home.
Use common sense:
There’s never any need to share personal information with your driver or vice versa. If something doesn’t feel right, follow your intuition - if you feel you’re in an emergency situation, always call 10111 immediately or use Uber’s in-app emergency button which connects to Uber’s third-party security providers.
Split your fare and add multiple destinations:
Start the party early by sharing an Uber with your friends, and you can even split the fare in the app any time before your trip ends. You can also check out our Multiple Destinations feature, which allows you to enter at most 3 stops (including your final destination). There’s nothing better than getting home with your friends and making sure everyone’s safe!
