First holiday memory?

A road trip to Botswana with my dad when I was about seven years old.

Favourite place in South Africa?

For a holiday, Cape Town.

Best holiday?

There’s only one place that counts as the best holiday for me, and it’s called Caelis, Barcelona. The location shall remain a mystery.

What have you learnt from your travels?

It’s more like what have not I learnt from my travels?

Ideal travelling companion?

My special lady whose name I’ll keep anonymous.

Beach bum, culture vulture or adrenalin junkie?

Adrenalin junkie.

Greatest travel luxury?

Business-class flights.

Holiday reading?

I’m a big fan of conspiracy/courtroom dramas. I read a lot of Michael Connelly and David Baldacci.

What place has seduced you?

Germany.

Worst travel experience?

Nothing comes to mind. I feel like all experiences when travelling just add to the journey.

Best hotel?

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in is the Be Manos in Belgium. It was a bit inconvenient to roll a bunch of bags through the hallways, but once you are settled it’s very stylish and comfortable.

Favourite walk, swim, ride or drive?

Favourite swimming is in Kenya. I love to dive in the water with whale sharks and what not.

Best meal abroad?

A good question, but the one that comes to mind is currywurst.

Favourite city?

I have a lot of favourites, but one of them is definitely Munich. There’s a certain charm to that city that is truly unique, not to mention they have king beer.

Where next?

I’m keen to return to Kenya. The scuba diving there is like no other place on Earth.
