Pack hard copies of your travel documents, including insurance policies, medical aid cover and ticket reference numbers in an easy-to-carry folder.

London - It has long been the bane of travellers’ lives – the bag which you check in is mysteriously and frustratingly absent when you land at your destination – leaving you gazing forlornly at the luggage carousel as everyone else leaves.

But help is at hand in the form of the “intelligent” baggage tag which knows where your suitcase is at all times.

Air France-KLM is working on tags that use GPS and Bluetooth technology to keep track of a bag’s location, which could make lost or stolen luggage a thing of the past.
