London - Passengers have named Ryanair as the most unfriendly airline to deal with when making a complaint.

The Irish company failed to resolve grievances “amicably” – topping a list that put British Airways in sixth place.

Travellers criticised Ryanair for settling complaints out of court to avoid a judgment going against it and denying passengers meals and drinks during delays.

The survey was drawn up by Spanish consumer group Reclamador, which said: “To summarise, the approach of these airlines would be ‘step on you [the client], do not answer’. And if they do respond, it is to say that the traveller is not entitled to compensation without further explanation.” - Daily Mail
