South Africans love living the wanderlust life and travelling to exotic locations around the world.

Whether it be for work or pleasure, they love to share their moments outside of the countries, especially their promises to return.

Here’s a list of the top 5 destinations that are frequented by celebrities.

Model Blue Mbombo and her twin sister Castanho fulfilled their wanderlust by travelling to Greece earlier in the year.

Mbombo shared her pictures on Instagram visiting various cities and towns, including the extremely popular Santorini, Mykonos and Athens.

Other notable faces in Greece include model, businessman and TV presenter Maps Maponyane, Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel Pieters and South African Olympic swimmer Cameron van der Burgh.

Vive le France is what people should say whenever they enter the French country. France’s capital city of Paris is a very popular destination, with the likes of Minnie Dlamini-Jones, Bonang Matheba, Maps Maponyane and Pinky Girl.

The most known trip to the city of love that occurred earlier this year was by choreographer Somizi Mhlongo, who proposed to his then-boyfriend near the Eiffel Tower.

The island of Zanzibar in Tanzania is also a popular destination for our celebrities, with the likes of Boity Thulo, Somizi, Lira and Thembi Seete all relaxing and unwinding on the white sandy island.

The reigning Miss SA, Tamaryn Green, took some time out to unwind by travelling to the East-Asian nation of Thailand.

Green posted pics of her trip on Instagram, before returning to South Africa and continuing with her preparation for the Miss Universe pageant happening in December in Thailand.

Thailand is a popular destination for a lot of people, especially during their summer season - which would be considered as their peak period.

The country from which pizza, wine and pasta reign, is also a country that is popular with our South African celebrities.

Model and TV presenters Ayanda Thabethe and Maps Maponyane have both made their appearance in the Italian streets, while the likes of style influencers Trevor Stuurman and Kwena Baloyi have made fashion waves in Milan.
