Shisha was produced by British producers Team Salut and recorded at their studio in London. The track is an Amapiano styled tune combined with UK house music.

Afro B said he enjoyed working with Busiswa on the track because her energy was so infectious.

“She’s so down to earth and so much fun. She showed me what South African music culture is like and we enjoyed ourselves clubbing together.”

Afro B said that music ignites a new moment each time that it reaches new borders.

Shisha is an echo of this truth. There is no expiration tag on a vibe,” he said.

The British singer said Shisha was about celebrating unity between African cultures.

“Every feature and producer are from different parts of Africa. We’ve all individually added our flavour to the song, which is why it sounds quite different to what we usually hear.”

He added: “All cultures and genders can be together in harmony. It’s also a song for the dance community to get involved in.”

In 2022, Afro B said his listeners could look forward to different sounds, more challenges and more collaborations.

Trehy Harris, who was responsible for mixing and mastering the tune, said the track has a South African sound that was currently taking the world by a storm.

“I gravitate towards it a great deal due to the love I had for UK funky house, both sounds have similar elements,” he said.

He added: “I’ve teamed up with Nigeria’s finest Niniola and South Africa’s very own Busiswa; I knew they would both be perfect for this project.”

The track is available on all digital streaming platforms.
