Noordhoek-based art gallery, Noordhoek Art Point will be launching its first showcase on Women’s Day.

The community hub and art space will feature a curated collection focused on highlighting local women-led businesses.

From 10am to 4pm, a variety of local, small to medium-sized businesses will be showcasing their product offerings.

The gallery’s founder, Aimee Kruger, said they want the event to be a celebration.

“We are celebrating local women-led businesses in our valley, to help them reach our community,” she said.

Kruger said the showcase aims to show the inspiration and value behind small businesses.

“Part of our broader vision is to create space for meaningful community showcases, ones that add value and help connect our community with other local creative brands.

“Women often just do, and don't get a chance to celebrate their amazing creativity in the way they should. We hope to change that in some small way with this showcase event,” she said.

Some of the businesses featured include a basket making company Nonophela Craft, eco-friendly cleaning brand Go Green Naturally and heat-less curling kit company, Warm Hugs SA, among others.

All products will be available for purchase on the day.

Food, wine, baked goods and coffee will also be available at the event.

Noordhoek Art Point is a barn-styled gallery space where art and art enthusiasts come together. The gallery focuses on sharing the original work of local artists around Cape Town..

“We aim to curate and showcase original local art thoughtfully, holding space for artists and an ever-growing audience of art enthusiasts alike, to share in the magic that art and creativity bring to us all,” said Kruger.
