I find it hard to say goodbye to Dov Fedler and his wonderful cartoons as he retires.
His imagery has lifted the Business Report brand for several years. His cartoon played to the most seminal event or hard news story of the week. Every week someone in the newsroom works with Dov to produce the cartoon and we bounce ideas around.
Dov often told me when my ideas or images were not good enough for the cartoon’s toolbox of imagery, and helped brainstorm the final product.
Several former colleagues, including Quentin Wray, Ellis Mnyandu and Justin Brown, worked with Dov, and all had nothing but praise for his abilities.
Often, I would be frantically working to meet deadline, only to hear some comments of admiration for Dov’s cartoon as it arrived in our email inboxes.
That added value Dov provides in his unique way will be sorely missed.
