Adcock revamps top management

Johannesburg - Adcock Ingram yesterday announced a number of changes and the re-organisation of its board.

“To ensure an enhanced focus on this next phase of the company’s development, and effective immediately, Clifford Raphiri, the lead independent director, will take over from Brian Joffe as chairman,” the pharmaceutical company said in a statement.

“Brian is assuming the role of deputy chairman allowing him to assist the executive team with its strategic growth initiatives,” Adcock said.

Kevin Wakeford has resigned as chief executive and has been replaced by the deputy chief executive, Andy Hall.

Wakeford would rejoin Bidvest Industrial Holdings in a senior management role after a phase out period of three months.

The company’s shares gained 0.31 percent to close at R51.20 on the JSE yesterday.
