Johannesburg - Aveng Grinaker-LTA Civil Engineering, part of listed Aveng, has been awarded a R92 million contract by the South Africa National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) for the resurfacing of the 40.6km road between Sun City and Boshoek in North West.
The scope of work for the contract comprises an asphalt overlay, rehabilitation and ancillary works, including base repair patches and edge-break repairs, crack sealing and asphalt reinforcing.
Richard Evans, the managing director of the civil engineering unit, said yesterday that winning this contract was a clear indication of their industry-leading track record in executing complex projects professionally, efficiently and timeously.
Aveng shares increased 1.74 percent yesterday to close at R7.02.
