Johannesburg - Shares in Barclays Africa climb more than 4 percent after the British lender's African unit lifts annual profit by 14 percent thanks to a decline in bad loans.
Barclays Africa is up 4.22 percent at 129.30 rand, on course for the biggest daily gain since July last year.
The company said diluted headline earnings per share totalled 1,396.6 cents in the year to end-December, from 1,227.6 cents a year earlier. - Reuters
