Johannesburg - Former Vodacom executive Pakamile Pongwana has been appointed chief executive of the Independent Communications Authority of SA, Icasa said on Monday.
Pongwana would succeed Themba Dlamini who would complete his three-year term at the end of October, spokesman Paseka Maleka said.
He previously served as deputy director general for telecommunications policy in the communications department.
