Johannesburg - JP Morgan says Kevin Latter will be joining it as joint senior country officer and head of Investment Banking for sub-Saharan Africa.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the global financial services firm says Latter will work closely with Marc Hussey, joint senior country officer and head of Corporate Banking for sub-Saharan Africa, to cover clients and provide leadership to our local employees.

Based in Johannesburg, Latter will report to Sjoerd Leenart, regional head for JP Morgan Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

“We are delighted to welcome Kevin to JP Morgan,” says Leenart.

“Kevin is among the very best and most experienced investment bankers I have met in this region.”

Latter has held a number of senior investment banking positions, most recently at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was head of Investment Banking in the region.

Prior to this, Latter was head of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, where he led the coverage team for eight years.

He studied at the University of KawZulu-Natal.
