MTN: Zakhele trading restart delayed

The MTN Zakhele black empowerment scheme has again postponed the recommencement of trading in its shares. Over-the-counter trading of the stock should have resumed yesterday after activity was suspended last week when the online platform collapsed but instead the scheme issued another postponement. “We will be in a better position to make an announcement by Thursday,” Thulani Gcabashe, the MTN Zakhele chairman, said. The site could not cope as thousands of shares were traded in the first two days after trading opened for the first time on November 25.
