SAA might have the solution after launching a new pet lounge aimed at improving the handling of pets at OR Tambo International Airport as of last month.

SAA’s airfreight division said the lounge was specially designed for ensuring your four-egged friend experiences a stress-free journey.

Tleli Makhetha, SAA Cargo’s general manager, said the lounge also minimised any environmental factors that were likely to cause distress.

“This milestone is a welcome service enhancement and demonstrates our commitment to improving the handling of domestic pets,” Makhetha said.

“We pride ourselves in providing a value-added service in an effort to cater for the needs of our customers,” said Makhetha.

“The hands-on approach highlights our resolve to care about the welfare of live animals that are processed through SAA Cargo’s facilities,” said Makhetha.
