Cape Town - South Africa's largest manufacturing union, Numsa, on Thursday denied reports of a government-brokered deal to end a three-week wage strike in the metal and engineering sector that has hit car makers and construction companies.

“There is no deal or agreement that we are aware of. The strike continues indefinitely,” union spokesman, Castro Ngobese said in a statement. - Reuters
