CALLING all laaities (under-13s) to come and enjoy the fun-filled LOKOH experience in Woodstock on Saturday. A chance for all Capetonians to embrace and celebrate the beauty of their diversity – and get more flexible, among other things – from 11am to 2pm opposite Buchanan Square (160 Sir Lowry Rd).

The R50 entry fee per laaitie enables a child who could not afford to, to join the LOKOH experience. Entry free for adults.

So parents come and learn from the laaities how to let go, to be yourself and play.

Expect creative workshops; informative (and fun) games for all; collective movement and language games; storytelling; funky beats; dancing; Simon Says yoga and stillness; collective laughter yoga; a mixed martial arts champion teaching kids fitness and discipline; learn to make your own self-watering pots – planting seeds in recycled 2-litre bottles; origami arts & crafts as well as conversation games (getting to know your teammates); and more.

For the peckish and thirsty there will be fresh veggie juices and superfood power smoothies, with food vendors offering tasty kiddies’ and adult fare. For that extra kick you can try Journey Kofu Coffee (Rwanda fair trade beans).

For stressed-out parents there will be relaxation stations and a chance for a massage as well as sound healing sessions.
