RANDELA: A painting that exposes inequality.
CAPE TOWN artist Ayanda Mabulu has unveiled his latest painting – which depicts a scarred face of former president Nelson Mandela on a banknote.
Named “Randela” the painting was his way of illustrating how the country’s economy had become a rallying point and how the gap between the rich and the poor had widened.
Mabulu’s latest eye-opening work can be viewed from tomorrow at the Greatmore Art Studios in Woodstock. – Staff Writer
