Durban - Thousands of commuters were left stranded on Friday after yet another strike by drivers of Durban’s beleaguered bus service.

Drivers stopped operating on Thursdau – the second time this year – over what is believed to be a pay dispute.

On Friday, the eThekwini Municipality urged commuters to make alternative travel arrangements.

The municipality could not say when the bus service would resume operations, but said it was engaging with Tansnat, the private operator of the service and the employee representatives to end the impasse.

Tansnat spokesman, Vuyo Mkhize, could not be reached for comment by the time of publication on Friday.
