Brad Pitt has slammed ex-wife Angelina Jolie for giving away intimate secrets during their divorce battle, documents have revealed.

In blistering language, the Hollywood star, 52, said his former spouse had ‘no self-regulating mechanism’.

The actor is fighting to have their divorce papers relating to child custody sealed.

In new documents lodged at a court in Los Angeles, he also claimed that actress Miss Jolie, 41, was content to breach their children’s ‘privacy rights when she believes it may benefit her’.

But her lawyers hit back, saying that Pitt’s request was a ‘thinly veiled attempt to shield himself, rather than the children, from public view’.

The former couple are currently following an informal custody agreement of their six children following their split in September. Miss Jolie retains custody and Pitt is given supervised visits.

However, he has now objected to the public release of information about their dispute in her court filings.

He claimed that Miss Jolie had given away private information, and had ‘exposed the children by making public the names of their therapists and other mental health professionals’. The filing also states that Miss Jolie ‘apparently has no self-regulation mechanism to preclude sensitive information from being placed in the public record.’

The revelations come two weeks after Benjamin Button star Pitt had a request for an emergency hearing to have all documents sealed turned down.

The stars’ marriage came to an end when Pitt allegedly physically attacked his son Maddox, 15, on a private jet.

The actor has agreed to random drug and alcohol testing and to attending individual and group therapy. It is not clear if he will see his family over Christmas.
