Tenor Jannie Moolman has regained consciousness and is speaking, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
“He is still in the trauma unit but he has regained consciousness,” Barnard Beukman said.
“Since Sunday he has been speaking and having conversations with his family and close friends.”
He said Moolman's recovery was progressing well. It was unclear whether Moolman remembered what happened to him. He is being treated at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.
Moolman was injured at the Mango restaurant in Hartbeespoort, North West. Beeld newspaper reported that he fell from the second floor of a restaurant at a bachelor party.
On April 10, he underwent an operation to his face to mend six bone fractures. He also underwent a successful operation for a broken arm. - Sapa and IOL
