Award-winning comedian Trevor Noah will tour South Africa from August to November with a new show called NationWILD.

Included in the schedule are performances in Pietermaritzburg and Durban late in September.

Selected comics from around the country, who Noah has deemed “funniest”, will join him in the show.

They include Eugene Khoza, well known for his appearances in Nedbank adverts, and four relative “unknowns” – Dillan Oliphant, Dusty Rich, Loyiso Madinga (LoyMad) and Robby Collins.

“I’m really excited for South Africa to see the home-grown talent we have,” said Noah.

“This spectacular line-up showcases the best young comedic talent out there.

“I was afforded the opportunity to perform on the biggest stages early in my career and this tour will hopefully present a great platform for these young guys to take their careers to new heights,” he said.

The tour will visit seven cities, starting in Witbank on August 29, then on to East London before arriving in Pietermaritzburg for shows on September 19, 20 and 21 at the Golden Horse Casino. They will then perform at the Suncoast Casino in Durban on September 26, 27 and 28.

The last leg of the tour will take the zany crew to Nelspruit, Roodepoort and Welkom.

Tickets go on sale at Computicket today and start at R240. - The Mercury
