London - Most women will have the occasional moan about the length of their legs, the size of their waist or the shape of their bottom.

But it seems Pippa Middleton and her peers might find less to grumble about than most – this year, at least.

Women feel their sexiest at the age of 28, according to a survey.

So those born at around the same time as Miss Middleton, socialite Tamara Ecclestone or actress Mila Kunis are likely to be happier about their size and shape now than at any other time in their lives.

However, their satisfaction with their appearance takes some time to translate into real self-confidence, which does not peak until the age of 32, the researchers found.

Despite this, the poll of 2,000 British women revealed that across all age groups, most are happy with their figures. Three-quarters insisted they wouldn’t change their body shape if they had the chance.

Almost a quarter said their eyes were their best feature, with 20 percent being most proud of their breasts and 13 percent opting for their brains.

However, if they had to change one thing, 41 percent said they would like longer, slimmer legs.

A fifth also said they longed to be more confident around men, and the most common reason for loss of confidence was being dumped by a partner. Half admitted that they wished they could worry less.

When asked which females they found inspiring, the choices spanned the generations. Some 19 percent named Pippa’s elder sister Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, closely followed Florence Nightingale (17 percent) and Marilyn Monroe (15 percent).

Clodagh Ward of Lil-Lets, which commissioned the survey, said: “It’s fantastic to see women are in fact quite happy with the way they look.” - Daily Mail
