Actor Abhishek Bachchan who put the rural sport of Kabaddi back on the Indian map when his team the Jaipur Pink Panthers won the Pro-Kabaddi League Championship, bought the Chennaiyin FC, the Chennai franchise of the Indian Super League.
The sports lover unveiled the team jersey and said he had worked with the creatives of Chennaiyin FC on the logo’s design.
Bachchan said that he participated in the logo’s creation and they focused on the concept of a “nazar pattu”, which wards off evil and brings good luck.
“I think everyone knows that I love sports. The idea is to promote football and get the urban Indian youth to play the game with passion. The colour of the logo is inspired by my favourite football team, Chelsea.” – Oneindia.in
