Mzansi Magic's reality television and singing competition #IdolsSA rolled in the Capital City on Sunday.

The show is based on the popular British show Pop Idol and is a contest to determine the best young singer in South Africa.

The first Season 13 auditions kicked off in Cape Town with Afro-soul singer, songwriter and recording artist Donald as a guest judge.

Yesterday’s auditions had drama, suspense, comedy as expected.

Idols SA season 8 winner, Khaya Mthethwa was a guest judge. As always, some contestants strayed, but 24-year-old Ofentse Motale slayed.

Motale left the judges floored, especially Unathi whom he left in goosebumps and on the verge of tears with his soulful, raspy tone & pitch-perfect whistle notes.

Twitter is buzzing about his dazzling performance.

Next week the Idols tour will be heading to Durban, the auditions took place at the Durban City Hall.

Fans are excited about it as last season's winner, Noma Khumalo is from KwaZulu Natal.

Radio and television personality, Phat Joe will be the guest judge.
