THE reason you are addicted to your favourite soap opera is because the scriptwriters are constantly trying to keep things interesting. The guys at Big Brother do the same, especially if you look at how this week has turned out.
Just when things were getting lukewarm, a spanner was thrown into the works on Big Brother Africa and we saw a number of contestants from previous seasons of the show join the existing ones.
The class of 2014 has many of the ladies in a frenzy as they are excited about the extra choices that the new guys have provided. It also helps that said guys are veterans of the game as most women like famous dudes.
We saw Mozambicans Trezagah and Leonel reunited. Trezagah was happy to see his fellow countryman and apparent friend.The two are catching up on things going on back home and in the house.
Ghana’s Elikem also availed himself in his fashionista regalia to support the fact that he is a fashion designer. You’d think he would be bonding with countrymate M’am Bea, but there seems to be some conflict. Elikem openly said he is out to intimidate the poor M’am Bea with his presence and part of his plan has to do with having a number of the contestants wear his clothing just to spread his presence and influence.
From Botswana hails Miss P who once had an encounter with Sheillah when the latter was a contender in a Miss Botswana competition. They have a proper girlfriend relationship, but Miss P has no plans to spread the love to Goitse. It is unclear why, but she has decided not to acknowledge Goitse at all and that should make for some exciting friction.
Then there is also Nigeria’s Uti, who won the show in the past. He came through to hang out with Tayo whom he says is a close friend. As is usual Uti-style, he has been bragging about winning the competition and acting as if he has the formula on how to win Big Brother Africa.
The beautiful Feza has come out to spend some time with Idris who clearly needs it. The Tanzanian beauty plans to bring her country-mate “down to Earth” by teaching him a thing or two about humility. He is only 21 so it is understandable why he would behave like a boy.
One of Big Brother Africa’s favourite sons, Sulu, came through to bond with Macky 2, while Zimbabwe’s Vimbai bonded with Butterphly.
South Africa’s Luclay, an obvious favourite during his time on the show, planned to mess with Nhlanhla as much as he could.
You don’t have to be a fan of the show to admit that this week has just changed the path of Big Brother Africa thanks to the genius of bringing back old contestants.
