It's a brand new beginning for The Delft Big Band, when they go onstage at the Baxter Concert Hall, as this is their first public appearance with their new conductors, Zeke Le Grange and Dayna Pearce.

It is a very significant gig, as not only are they appearing with two talented young music directors who have a history with the band, but they are doing so at the biggest festival of its kind in Cape Town - the annual Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival.

In so many ways, this appearance sends a powerful message to the big band jazz fraternity in our city that The Delft Big Band, now in its ninth year, has staying power.
