Spring into Tuning the Vine’s September #InnerCityWineRoute as your monthly dose of grapey goodness returns on Wednesday, 7 September from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Here are some tips to get the most from your sips:

1. Arrive early – you’ll have more time to taste the wines you’re interested in, before the venues fill up

2. Stay for supper – Tastings close at 8.30pm but venues will remain open and will be selling food. From sliders, Peruvian tacos, (Honest) chocolate offerings, chilli poppers, truffle fries and German style sausages to nibbles from the grill, pizza, sticky wings, saucy ribs and burgers galore; you’re in for a tasty treat.

3. Buy a Quicket ticket (R150) before the event and let the Tuning the Vine winged wine fairies fast track your entry at The Gin Bar and Weinhaus + Biergarten. Find them and you’ll have your map, glass and wristband in a whizz!

4. The map is a mere guideline. Follow the #InnerCityWIneRoute and visit venues as you please – you need not go according to numbers.

5. Need some help? Look out for the Tuning the Vine winged fairies on hand to help you with what you need.

Pre-sold ticket holders can also grab their wineglasses, maps and wristbands from 91 Loop and La Parada; where Groupon vouchers can be redeemed and limited tickets will be on sale for R170.

Tuning the Vine will happen again on Wednesdays 12 October, 9 November and 7 December.
