If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to start a new diet or eating plan then banting might have crossed your mind.

Deciding to go low carb and high fat is always a decision that should be made after consulting your doctor or health professional and never something you decide to do without speaking to someone who knows your medical history, past and present.

Retailer Checkers has launched it’s own line of banting cooking ingredients called the Banting Revolution which means everything you need to start making your own low carb, high fat meals are readily available.

Checkers has shared an All Butter Shortbread Cookies recipe to inspire the banters

Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

3 tablespoons softened butter

3 tablespoons xylitol

⅛ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method

Beat butter and xylitol until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients until cohesive ball.

Form into balls and lay onto buttered tray.

Bake at 180 degrees C for 8 to 10 minutes.
