I love you Daddy

It’s Father’s Day on Sunday and we take a look at Tinseltown’s sexiest dads.

Johnny Depp has been named the sexiest, coolest dad in the world. We don’t know by whom, but we agree wholeheartedly.

The 45-year old Pirates of the Caribbean star is a huge hit with kids (he won Favourite Male Actor at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards) and his own are no exception.

Father to Lily-Rose Melody, 11, and John “Jack” Christopher Depp III, eight, Johnny has said fatherhood is his “destiny”.

“You can’t plan the kind of deep love that results in children. Fatherhood was not a conscious decision. It was part of the wonderful ride I was on. It was destiny, kismet,” he says.

Another Hollywood hunk with a heart of gold is Australian actor Hugh Jackman. The Wolverine star and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have two kids, Oscar, nine, and Ava, four, both adopted in the US. Cute Ava is often snapped by the paparazzi giggling and making faces on her father’s broad shoulders.

Usher may be one of R&B’s top players, but he always finds time to be a dedicated dad to his two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. The star, who divorced last year, takes his role as father very seriously.

“It really hits me that I’m responsible for raising them and showing them what a real man is. I don’t know if I always get it right, but I’m trying,” he says.

Well-groomed

Will Smith and his well-groomed family are a familiar sight in Hollywood. The star has set the stage to raise an empire – his son Jaden has made a name for himself in the acting world, his 10-year-old daughter Willow wows the music industry and his teenage son from a previous relationship, Trey, aspires to be a professional football player.

The most valuable lesson Will’s taught his kids is to stay humble and always shake people’s hands.

Spanish hunk Javier Bardem came out of nowhere and quickly took Tinseltown by storm.

Not only does he have an Oscar on his mantelpiece, a beautiful wife on his arm and a coveted spot in Cosmopolitan’s 20 Sexiest Men of 2010 list, but he’s also a proud father to a baby boy. His wife, actress Penelope Cruz gave birth to their first child in January – Little Leo was born with the proverbial silver spoon in the mouth.

Superdad

No dad list could be complete without superdad Brad Pitt. Despite his hectic acting schedule, the dad of six manages to make time for his children and partner Angelina Jolie. The Tree of Life star recently opened up to USA Weekend about his brood, saying: “Kids hold up a mirror to you. You can’t make excuses. You want to be there if they have a nightmare.”

Taye Diggs and his wife, Idina Menzel, originally held off on having children but it was always on the cards for the smoking Broadway stars.

Their son, Walker Nathaniel, was born in September of 2009, securing his father’s spot on every hot dad list from then on.

Bad boy Jude Law is a rotten, cheating love rat, but he’s a great dad. The 37-year-old actor has four kids – Rafferty, Iris, Rudy and Sophie, his love child with model Samantha Burke – and was voted “Most Stylish Celebrity Dad” in a poll by My Celebrity Fashion. Jude is often seen taking his kids on outings in London.

As is that other hot English dad David Beckham, who was recently named Most Stylish Male Star in the UK. The handsome footballer has three sons and a daughter on the way with wife Victoria. The Beckhams are said to have the most well-mannered children.

We missed seeing Orlando Bloom in the latest Pirates, but that’s because he has a more important job these days – carrying his baby around. He’s only been a father for a few months, but the British star is taking to parenthood like a charm and enjoys showing off his bundle of joy with his supermodel wife Miranda Kerr.

Doting

While Ben Affleck hasn’t made many blockbuster movies lately, he and his delightful family draw admiration wherever they go. The star and wife Jennifer Garner are parents to two daughters, Violet, five, and Seraphina, two.

“I know what it’s like to be a serf,” the actor told Ellen DeGeneres, “I take orders from people who cannot speak.” - Daily Voice
