A Brazilian child has been dubbed Magnet Boy after it was discovered that metal objects cling to his skin when placed near him, SABC news reported on Sunday.

Paolo David, 11, first discovered that his body appeared to behave like a magnet when his father asked him to fetch a knife and fork, and the implements stuck to his body.

Paolo's body has since attracted scissors, spoons and even large casserole pots.

Doctors have admitted they are stumped as to why metal objects are attracted to the boy. - Sapa
