Former South African Superbike champion Hudson Kennaugh, now contesting the British Superbike series on a works-supported Aprilia RSV4, will join American Mark Miller on a pair of the ultra-quick V4s to take on the oldest, longest, scariest and most iconic road race of them all - the 60km Isle of Man TT.

Kennaugh, never one to shy away from a challenge, will race in the fourth round of the British Superbike championship at Thruxton on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, May 30, and then fly to the island in time (just) for the first practice session for the Centenary TT meeting that evening.

TT practice is held very, very early in the morning or late in the evening because the rest of the time the 60km course is a public road.

This will be the second time that Kennaugh, who finished runner-up in the 2010 BSB-Evo championship, has taken part in the historic event.

He made his TT debut in 2010 and is looking forward to returning.

“I love the TT, it's a fantastic event that just gets bigger each year, so to be coming back for a second attempt is just awesome,' he said.

“I've always had an enormous amount of respect for those guys who raced the roads, and getting out there last year was a real buzz - it's great to get the chance to come back, even though I haven't ridden the Aprilia there before.”

Miller is no stranger to the TT; the AMA circuit rider turned road racer has ridden on the Isle of Man and has also competed many times in the Macau GP, on the stone-walled streets of the former Portuguese colony, which he once described as “a walk in the park” compared to the TT.
