The Harley Owners Group will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with an international rally - Harley on Safari - at Sun City from 15-18 August, and all Harley-Davidson riders and enthusiasts are invited.

The party will start with a 'get the spirit' evening on Wednesday 14 August at Harley-Davidson Pretoria, and a mass ride to Sun City the next day, starting from the dealership at 1pm.

MIKE AND THE MECHANICS

That evening there will be a Buddha Bar Party in the Hall of Treasure with Top South African DJ's, and live music will be provided during the weekend by South African all-girl rock group the Blackbyrds, Scottish rockers the Bogus Brothers and, on Saturday 17 August, supergroup Mike and the Mechanics (best known for their hits “The Living Years”, “Silent Running”, “All I Need Is a Miracle” and “Word of Mouth”) will kick off their South African tour at Harley on Safari.

CHARITY OUTRIDES

There will be an exhibition area for bikes, accessories and clothing, as well as a flag parade and a custom bike show offering great cash prizes, while the Jumpstart rolling road will give even non-riders a feel of what it's like to ride a Harley.

The rally is linked to various charities and local communities around Sun City; charity outrides will assist with projects and raise funds.
