Cape Town's Killarney track grounds will be the venue for a unique motor show on Saturday, November 26 as part of the final round of the Western Cape main circuit championship.

There will be displays of the latest exotic dream machines as well as a number of other items of motoring and general interest.

The show will be "live" during the lunch interval when, with the help of various one-make clubs and in conjunction with Viglietti Motors and Bloomsbury Investment Cars, the track will be taken over by a selection of the best from Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche, Lotus and others.

They will be followed by a display from Glopin Supercars, a racing discipline celebrating its ninth anniversary.

On two wheels, it's going to be all chrome and leather as the Harley-Davidson club shows off a selection that will almost certainly include Fat Boys, Dyna Glides, Road Kings, Softail Standards and a host of other sought-after models. They are also being allocated time for a mass ride-by.

One of the spectator attractions at events of this nature is that many proud owners who seldom get the chance to red-line their thoroughbreds take advantage of the occasion to savour the enjoyment of high speed without risk of authoritarian condemnation.

On a more tranquil note, static displays on the lawns around the clubhouse will include a Cruz exhibition of rare model cars and mag rims. One model will be donated as a prize.

Smart Cover are showing canopies and sophisticated bakkie covers while the Waterworld stand is all about boating.

Motorola will give the organisers cellular support during the meeting and exhibit their products. They will also be awarding free phones to officials whose performances are rated the most meritorious of the day.

Other exhibitors who will be showing off a variety of products, include No Fear with their quad lineup, Acker Independent Tools and the Simonsvlei Wine Estate.

Younger parents who double as motorsport enthusiasts, will be pleased to hear that the club has created a kiddies' entertainment area near the clubhouse where their anklebiters can enjoy themselves on climbing frames, jumping castles and electric karts.
