Bristol, England - This is the moment a barefoot driver got out of his car and halted four lanes of motorway traffic – while a girl in a bikini drove the vehicle to the hard shoulder.
The motorist was towing a small boat in the outside lane when a tyre exploded and he brought his four-wheel-drive vehicle to a standstill.
He then calmly walked out on to the M4 and diced with death as he waved his arms to slow down the oncoming traffic.
Drivers spotted him and came to a halt and the vehicles at the head of each lane pulled to one side to form an impromptu barrier.
A woman in a bikini then got behind the wheel of the car and drove slowly across to the hard shoulder to allow the tyre to be changed.
The foolhardy episode happened on Saturday at the Almondsbury interchange outside Bristol – one of Britain’s busiest intersections.
