Melbourne, Australia - Alcohol-fuelled car banter around the braai sometimes spawns some colourful ideas, but you never really expect them to become reality. Until, that is, someone took a 1977 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and upgraded it with a built-in braai and jacuzzi.
An unnamed Aussie enthusiast (nope, not an American) took one look at the Eldorado’s extra-long bonnet and boot, and decided to lengthen it even more for a perfect party car, with a slide-out, gas-powered braai in the empty space between radiator and engine, and a two-seater jacuzzi in the rear.
He also gave it eight wheels, with all four front ones doing the steering.
An in-dash television, CCTV camera mounted in the right front fender, whiskey bar in the boot, strobe lighting, train horns, and six exhaust pipes round out the modifications.
The flamboyant party car’s going up for auction at Shannon’s Australia in Melbourne on February 17 at an expected price of between R236 000 to R313 000.
