Harare - Zimbabwe will hold a constitutional referendum in March, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai announced Wednesday, heralding the vote as a major step toward democratic reform.

The long-awaited poll would set the stage for presidential elections that are expected to see Tsvangirai try to end veteran President Robert Mugabe's 32-year rule. - Sapa-AFP
