President Jacob Zuma on Monday sent his condolences to Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki following a helicopter crash which killed two government ministers and four police officers.

“On behalf of the government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, I would like to convey my condolences to President Kibaki, the government of the Republic of Kenya and the families of the deceased during this difficult time of mourning and sadness.

“Our hearts and prayers are with you as you mourn this tragic loss of life,” he said in a statement.

Sunday's crash killed Kenyan Minister of Internal Security George Saitoti, his deputy Orwa Ojode, and four police officers. - Sapa
