Durban -
One person died and four were injured on Tuesday when a shooting led to a vehicle crash at Umtentweni.
Police spokesman Brigadier Jay Naicker said: “The bakkie driver (29) was travelling with two passengers when a number of shots were fired at them while they were stopped at the traffic lights. The driver died instantly and the other occupants are in a critical condition.”
Naicker said that as the shooting was happening, three other vehicles collided.
Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said paramedics at the scene found debris and the twisted frame of the vehicles obstructing the roadway.
