Durban - Thirteen people were injured in another accident on the corner of the M13 and Richmond Road, in Pinetown, on Wednesday morning.

A truck is understood to have lost control coming down the M13 and hit another truck, driving along Richmond Rd.

A taxi as well as a utility vehicle were also involved.

Rescue Care's Gareth Jamieson said paramedics arrived at the scene just after 9am.

The driver of the truck which lost control was trapped in his vehicle and and the Jaws of Life were used to free him.

The injuries ranged from minor to moderate, Jamieson said.

In 2013, more than 20 people were killed in a devastating accident, also involving a truck, at the same intersection.

Police are investigating Wednesday’s accident.
