Mbombela - A rapist was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment by the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court on Thursday for raping a 14-year-old girl.
Nicholas Sipho Lekhuleni, 36, of Malalane, Mpumalanga, raped the teenager on October 28, 2012, a Sapa correspondent reported.
Lekhuleni was renting a room from the girl's family when he raped her. She was 14 at the time.
He was arrested on the same day of the incident and moved to Hectorspruit near Malalane after being released on bail of R1500.
